Woolworths has appointed Vaughan Constructions Pty Ltd to deliver the new online customer fulfilment centre in Auburn.
​
Vaughan Constructions’ appointment on the project followed approval of the proposal from the Department of Planning, Industry and Infrastructure (DPIE) on 25 June 2021.
​
Construction work commenced on site in September 2021 and is expected to take approximately 16 months to complete. This includes preparation of the site, demolition of the existing building and earthworks.
A Construction Environmental Management Plan has been developed to mitigate potential impacts on near neighbours. During construction, particular care will be taken to restrict and minimise dust, noise and traffic impacts.
During the entire construction program, best practice measures will be taken, including barriers and screens to contain dust and maintaining a clean worksite.
